A kumaru tree kisses a hazel tree, sesame tendrils climb their way up its trunk, patchouli leaves and heliotrope flowers bloom at its base: a marvel of the forest. A fusion of trees creates intertwining scents. Almonds, sesame seeds, tonka beans, green hazelnuts all sprout, yearning to be picked. They warm in the sun. The scent is delectable. Delicious. Toasty. A medley of nuts all succulently roasted in unison.
Sesame toasting in a hot pan, nuts turning golden, the warm smell that makes your mouth water before you have tasted anything.
Toasted sesame sits rich at the center, generously dosed, with green hazelnuts, almonds and tonka beans swirling around it. Heliotrope deepens the nuttiness with a whisper of rice, while earthy patchouli and cedarwood keep it grounded, toasty and golden so it never tips into dessert.
Good enough to eat, and far too refined to be a pudding.
